Volunteer to be a Loop Ambassador!

By June 22, 2016August 1st, 2016No Comments

If you love gardening and meeting interesting people, we have a volunteer opportunity for you. We’re currently recruiting community members to join the first-ever class of Loop Ambassadors!

Loop_BannerWe’re seeking private citizens (or King County employees volunteering on their own time) to learn and educate others about Loop®biosolids, the nutrient rich product of the wastewater treatment process, as well as soil fertility, nutrient recycling, carbon sequestration in soils, sustainable gardening, and more!

Volunteer Loop Ambassadors will receive training, a Loop t-shirt, and a free bag of GroCo compost made with Loop. In exchange, Ambassadors will volunteer to staff public events and share what they have learned. The program is loosely modeled after the Master Gardeners program.

Interested? Drop us a line at recycling.biosolids@kingcounty.gov.
