People seeking information about King County’s North Mercer Island/Enatai Sewer Project are invited to public meetings on March 2 and March 10.

After extensive analysis that considered community needs and priorities, King County identified an alternative for the project will involve placing about 14,000 feet of underground sewer pipeline along an alignment from King County’s North Mercer Pump Station, located at 7631 S.E. 22nd Ave. on Mercer Island, to the Sweyolocken Pump Station, located at 3100 Bellevue Way S.E. in south Bellevue.
The alternative was selected as the best approach for limiting community and environmental impacts as well as reducing potential for project costs and risks.
Project design is scheduled to begin in 2016 and construction is expected to begin in 2019 with completion scheduled in 2022.
