Getting in Tune with Recycled Water

512On July 14, King County’s Recycled Water Program participated in a hands-on event for landscapers at the Washington Association of Landscape Professionals’ annual Field Day Event. The event provides the landscaping industry with opportunity to not only see products in person like at a regular trade show, but to actually operate many items being displayed. In between riding mowers and learning proper chainsaw maintenance, landscapers stopped by to touch, smell, and “play” vases of recycled water with drumsticks. All were amazed to see the crystal-clear, odor-free water, and to learn that King County provides this unique recycled resource, both via pipes and via truck haul in the Sammamish River Valley and Tukwila. As the summer heats up we hope more landscapers will line up to irrigate with our sustainable, reliable, drought-resistant recycled water.
